I have been wanting to post and share some of my thoughts on softball, on translating my softball learnings into the business environment, and on sports parenting in general for awhile now but I have always hesitated. What qualifications do I have? Am I a good enough writer? How can I advise on things when there is so much I am still figuring out myself?

Self-doubt can be a powerful thing.

However, I think my opinions on things like picking a travel ball team, talking to coaches, talking to your kids, avoiding burnout, balancing school and sports, and many related topics are still valuable, considering my experience:

  • 2-time NCAA Softball Academic All-American at UCLA

  • 3-time NCAA Softball All-American at UCLA

  • 20-year veteran in tech marketing

  • Softball enthusiast

  • Technology enthusiast

  • Parent/coach of 2 kids in sports at varying levels of rec ball to competitive travel ball

And I just want to help any players be the best they can be, as well as help any parents support their kids on their sports journeys. I understand how hard it is to balance work, sports, school, family and everything else life can throw at us. I am not a kinesiology professor. I am not a full-time softball coach. And I definitely do not have everything figured out. I would still love to share what has worked for me and what I have seen work for others so we can all help each other.
